Back in 2004 the internet was not that populair to find vintage cars. I found a nice Ami 8 berline in the color bleu petrel in Paris on Anciennes.net.
It belonged to madame Lemaire. So got the car as a present from her late husband. Her daughter found her mother to old to drive the car and convinced her to sell it.
I drove to Paris together with a friend in my Ami, bought it, and drove back to Holland with it without any problems. After some time I sold it to a friend of mine. I still regret it; it was the best driving Ami 8 I have ever owned. Soon more stories about this car.
